This blog started with my project to write a letter every day in 2009. In 2010 I posted a letter writing topic for every day of the year. Now, I write about letter writing, stamps, postcards, mail art, other blogs, etc . Thanks for stopping by!

I'm a writer who has taken on the ambitious project of writing a letter every day in 2009 as a way to keep in touch with all of my friends and family.
I also have a blog at www.catproductions.blogspot.com.
My name is Carla, and I live in Stephens County, Texas, with my husband and our daughter. I started this letter writing project on Jan. 1, 2009. I hope you'll follow along to see if I can keep to my plan to write a letter every day this year, as well as to read my thoughts about letter writing. Please join me by writing a letter today!
A few weeks ago, U.S. author and humorist Mark Twain (1835-1910) was honored with a first-class (Forever) U.S. postage stamp.
The postage stamp features a portrait of an older Twain with a steamboat in
the background, evoking a way of life along the Mississippi River that
played a huge role in many of Twain’s works, as well as in his own life.
Art director and stamp designer Phil Jordan collaborated with stamp
artist Gregory Manchess, who based his portrait of Twain on a photograph
taken around 1907.
